Braedon, like many guitarists, had his roots in self-taught rock’n roll but now holds a Masters in Lute/Historical Plucked Strings and a Bachelors in Classical Guitar and Composition. As a performer, Braedon has had a range of musical experiences from festivals, solo recitals, chamber groups, and large orchestras to rock bands, bluegrass groups, and other various gigging opportunities.
As a passionate teacher, Braedon cultivates and nurtures an intimate connection to the instrument and music. The importance of theory, technique, and musical interpretation is incorporated in every lesson ensuring that practicing and playing becomes a fulfilling pleasure. For Braedon, instruments are vehicles of human expression, from the whimsical to the folly, and looks forward to sharing that journey with you.

I’ve been working with Braedon for several months now and found him extraordinarly helpful, patient and knowledgable. He is pushing me where I need to go – but gently! It’s a genuine pleasure to work with him.

It is a pleasure to write a little about my lessons with Braedon! I started with the Ukulele and switched to Classical Guitar 7 months ago. Braedon is an extremely gifted teacher. He is always positive and encouraging. Lessons are fun as well as challenging: “Now play it again for me, a little slower. And yes, repeat!” Fear of failure started to disappear as I made progress and we tackled problems together. I have also enjoyed getting some instruction in music theory along the way! I have experienced every lesson with Braedon as a real tonic and I always look forward to them. He is an extremely knowledgeable and very kind teacher!

As a total beginner, I came from lessons with Braedon with a more holistic understanding of music and extremely valuable insights in how to approach a new piece. Initially I was only interested in learning the basics of classical guitar, but he taught me that there are so many things to learn from other genres of music that will all greatly benefit my classical guitar education. Thanks for such an eye-opening experience!
